Trey Songz Arrested at Arrowhead Stadium During Chiefs, Bills Playoff Game

Singer and songwriter Trey Songz was taken into custody late Sunday night while attending the Bills, Chiefs playoff game. In a statement released by Jackson County Prosecutor’s office, Trey Songz, real name Tremaine Neverson, was released from custody early Monday morning. An investigation into the reason and incident that occured that led to Trey Songz arrest is ongoing, according to Jackson County police.

Authorities did not say what charge Songz was booked on and neither the prosecutor’s office nor other local law enforcement agencies would say if a video released by the Kansas City Police Department, appearing to show an assault on an officer, was linked to Songz’ arrest.

In a statement by police included with the video evidence, police are claiming that a man assaulted an officer after fans complained that he wasnt following the health department standards that are in place due to Covid-19.

The man allegedly refused to comply with requests from private security agents to leave the stadium, the statement said. When he refused, officers told him he would be arrested for trespassing. The man then proceeded to punch a police officer and put him in a headlock, and later was arrested without incident and taken to Jackson County Jail.
