Only two weeks removed from Kanye West announcing his intentions on running for the Presidency, there is word from Mr. West’s campaign team that suggests his reluctance to remain in the race.
We recall Mr. West announcing his original intentions to run for the presidency during our July 4th celebrations. West tweeted, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for President of the United States”.
West was met with mixed approval through several social media users around the world, more so after West revealed through an interview with BBC radio that he had no views on politics, just on humanity. Celebrities such as Katy Perry deemed Kanye’s presidential bid “a little wild”, while other celebrities such as Elon Musk supported Ye’s decision to run for President. Kanye’s reasons behind why he is dropping out of the race are still unconfirmed, although it may have something to do with a recent national poll only showing West with a voter approval rating of 2% as of July 14th.
