The tragic shooting of Jacob Blake sent shockwaves through the world. We bore witness to an officer shoot Jacob in the back 7 times as he tried to get in his car. It is important to note that Jacob Blake was unarmed in the situation. Yet, the officer still found it “justified” to shoot Jacob in the back. Jacob Blake’s father has reported that his son is paralyzed from the waist down. Many people demanded that justice was served and the officer that shot him be punished. Protesters gathered for the last three nights in the streets of Kenosha demanding that their voices be heard. Sadly, as we have seen before the peaceful protests ended in gunshots and fatalities. Late Tuesday night, 17 year old Kyle Rittenhouse opened fire at protesters after a altercation. The 17 year old injured 1 and unfortunately killed two others in the altercation.
The city of Kenosha has been outraged by this blatant display of disregard for human life. What makes matters worse, the killer can be seen interacting with officers and still not being arrested for the shooting. Kyle Rittenhouse was able to leave the scene unharmed even after shooting 3 individuals right in front of the cops.
